Jon & Erin are Engaged!!!

I have no idea how to start this post...I could tell you about how our family met Mr. Jon (a.k.a. Dowy  to my family) at church one day and how he started coming over for popcorn and a movie every Sunday night (and stayed up til the wee hours of the morning talking to Daddy :)...or how we met Erin at Chick-Fil-A a week or two before Mr. Jon introduced her to us as they began their relationship together.  Or I could tell you about how great these two are, which would take a long, long time.  Or I could tell you that they met at Chick-Fil-A, where Erin works, and after about a year of praying about a potential relationship, Dowy and Erin started seeking the Lord as to whether or not they were meant for each other.  So the months of "courting" began...it has been so fun to watch!  We knew Mr. Jon fairly well but Erin was new to us and, once we met her, we liked her immediately!  The weeks passed by and every time we talked to Erin there always was a huge smile on her face...and whenever Mr. Jon came by that smile got bigger.  After a few months, we all knew what was coming... after all, everyone could see that they were meant for each other!  In mid-September, Dowy proposed to Erin under a pier in the OBX and she said "yes!"  And so the love began.  :)

I was amazingly blessed to be able to take Dowy and Erin's engagement pictures (my first ever!) 8 days ago at Massanutten Resort.   Our family was planning on going hiking that day so we invited Dowy and Erin along saying "We could get engagement pictures in the mountains!"  They agreed and it worked out great!  Lexi held my extra lens for me and Hannah watched all of my siblings so that they wouldn't get in the pictures (Daddy and Mama were trying to get convinced to buy a timeshare there).

So, enjoy all of my favorites...and thank you, Erin and Dowy, for entrusting me with your photos!  You guys are too cute! ;)  I can't wait for March!
[Warning:  Excessive amounts of pictures follow. :)]

This was one of the first pictures I took...and, yes, the grass was that green. :)

Like this one below...so much!

When they asked what else to do, I asked what they wanted and Mr. Jon said "Us walking.  We do that a lot."

I know I said "You guys are too cute!" at least every 10 minutes...it's just so true! :-D

 What a beautiful couple!

I think most of the time I took pictures of them they were smiling at each other and it was so absolutely adorable! :)

I really love this next one...
 :)

This was totally their idea and I loved it!!!

Erin and Dowy would work on the "model face" as I took pictures and it always ended in them laughing! :)
 Aww!!

This next one is one of my absolute favorites out of all 200+ photos! :)

I know you all want to see her ring, right?  Here you go:
Isn't it gorgeous?!!

I love me some silhouettes!

 L.O.V.E. x 10! :)

They perfected the "model look" by the end of the shoot, that's for sure! :)

And that's all for you today!  Thanks again, Erin and Dowy, for letting me do your pictures!  May the Lord continue to bless you two as you strive to bring greater glory to Him....right now as an engaged couple but soon as husband and wife!!!!

Baby Cameron

Ever since my Uncle, Sean, got married, we've wondered what it would be like to see him as a Daddy.  Uncle Sean has always been the fun, silly guy who keeps everyone smiling.  Well, a month or two after getting married we heard that Aunt Amanda was pregnant!  We were so excited and 9 months seemed to be forever! :)  Well, the day finally came and little Cameron came into the world on 10/1/11!  Exactly a week later, Mama and my siblings, Hannah, Lexi, and Judah (along with myself) went to take them some food.  And, lucky me, Uncle Sean asked if I would bring my camera along to get some pictures of Cameron! :) :)

Here are some of my favorites!

Aren't they a beautiful family?

Uncle Sean makes Aunt Amanda smile...a lot! :)

So sweet! :)

Nope...Uncle Sean definitely hasn't lost any of his humor! :)
(Cameron's imitating his Daddy in this photo!)

Look at his little yawn!!

Neat fact:  Cameron is wearing the outfit that Uncle Sean wore when he was brought home from the hospital!

Baby cries are so precious!
(When I said this Uncle Sean replied, "Well, I'll call you at 2 A.M. and let you hear that 'precious' baby cry!" :)

:)

I don't think anyone can ever tire of the tininess of a newborn!

Baby feet!!

 Can everyone say a.d.o.r.a.b.l.e.?
