Fire is a fascinating thing.  It's so beautiful and it warms you but yet it can also burn you.  It reminds you of that place you never want to go to where the fire is never, ever satisfied and then it reminds you of our God who is a consuming fire (Deuteronomy 4:24, Hebrews 12:29).

What a complex thing fire is.

Morning Frost

 This morning the frost was so beautiful and sparkly, so after my devotions, I went out with my micro lens to take a few pictures before I had to come in to prep breakfast! :)

Nick and Becca Sneak Peaks - 10.9.10.

On Saturday, October 10th, I had the privilege of being the photographer for Nick and Becca!  A few months ago Becca approached me after church and asked if I would be the photographer for her wedding.  I said I would have to pray about it and, after about a week of thinking and praying, I said yes!  I was nervous of course, but so many people were praying for me on Saturday and I had a great time!  Nick and Becca were so much fun...and that definitely made my job much easier!

This is only a preview of some of the photos I took at their wedding.  Hopefully more photos will be coming along later. :)

I absolutely loved Nick and Becca's rings!  Aren't they beautiful??  So, I had to post two pictures of their rings, because I couldn't pick just one! :)

This is the wedding party!  Don't they look like so much fun???!!!  The idea for this picture didn't come from me...one of their family members suggested it! :)

I hope that, once I finish editing and give the pictures to Nick and Becca, that I'll be able to post some more pictures of their wonderful day! :)

Flowers

Yes, I know...I take lots of pictures of flowers.  :)  They're so beautiful, though, and I need to use my micro lens for something!!!

So, here are some more flower photos! :)

This is a morning glory.  That spot behind it was from a droplet of water that the sun was reflecting off of.  It was pretty neat! :)

Here's another morning glory.  I took these pictures in the afternoon, so the "morning" glory's were not open.  They uncurl only in the morning! :)

These flowers are so much fun!

After they've bloomed they turn into these seed pods.  The seed pods look like little green footballs.  When you lightly press them they pop open and around 10-20 seeds fall out.  It is so neat!

These are some flowers on our butterfly bushes. 

If you want to see how close the micro lens can get, go to one of my previous posts, here.  This is the same butterfly bush but captured with another lens.  That picture was as close as that particular lens would get me and still be in focus.  It's amazing (the difference between micro lenses and non-micro lenses! :)

This was my favorite butterfly-bush flower photo!  I just loved how the sun illuminated the flowers!

Lexi's 13th Birthday PIctures

Last Friday, Lexi (my sister) wanted me to take some pictures of her to use for her 13th birthday party.  So, when we both were ready, we headed outside for some pictures!

Lexi found this flower before we began our "photo shoot" and she wanted me to take a picture of it.

I must say that it matched her fingernail polish very well! :)

I took Lexi to some places where I wanted to take a few pictures.  On another photographer's website I had read how the eye naturally follows lines in your pictures.  So, I wanted to find some "lines" to lead people's eyes to Lexi's face.  (The article was very interesting...if you want to read it go here!)  So I picked the porch railing because of all the "lines" associated with a porch!

Lexi is so photogenic...I could take pictures of her all day!

Lexi picked the next photo spot and she picked the greenest spot in our backyard! :)

I hardly had to tell her to do any of these poses!  She had so many ideas up her sleeve that all I had to do was snap picture after picture! :)

I love all those little circles in the wood behind her!!

This picture (and the one below) of Lexi in the grass are some of my favorites!  I suggested that Lexi lay in the grass for me and she was like "That was what I was just going to do!"  Great minds think alike, right? :)

In this grassy picture I was laying flat on my stomach...completely level with Lexi!  It was a lot of fun laying in the grass taking pictures! ;)
